Encouraging Healthy Habits in Our Youth

As a mom I know how frustrating it can be to try to get your children to eat healthy and be active.  So my mission is partly to encourage our children to develop good habits from young.  Check out some of the sessions I have been fortunate enough to deliver already.

Reach Academy's Grade 2 Class - Healthy Lifestyle February 25, 2016

We spoke about how to tell the difference between healthy and un-healthy foods, and why we need healthy foods.  We also spoke about the role of exercise and did an experiment to determine the impact of exercise on our heart rate.  We ended by making a halthy snack - energy balls.

St Jago High School Gir's Day - Empowering through Physical Health February 24, 2016

This is an entire day was geared at empowering girls and educating them on several topics specific to females. Guided by the theme "The Complete Woman" - I'm every woman; embracing the facets that make me complete" my session highlighted Physical Health.

I delivered a brief talk on women supporting women, the power of goals and music as well as the need for physical health.  We then moved into an energetic Tabata style HIIT workout to a playlist that was all about empowering women.  The girls LOVED it!!!
